Canva Terms and Conditions
If you are selling digital products created in canva it is important to adhere to their terms and conditions and if you aren't sure on something reach out to them directly to ask at support@canva.com
- You can use a canva free account to create your products and use all free canva fonts & elements
- You cannot use canva pro items in anything you are selling unless your customer will be editing on the canva platform and has a canva pro account (if they do not, they will be charged for every pro element and font individually that you have used and this can lead to bad reviews) so we recommend avoiding canva pro elements and fonts in anything you create.
- You also cannot flatten the canva pro elements to work around this, it is against their terms of service.
- Canva have advised that you can use the templates from the template library as a starting point for your designs, however the finished product cannot look like the original. It is not clear how much you need to edit the templates to not look like the original, so for this reason we recommend that you do not use a canva template for a starting point and create your design from scratch. (It also shows the original creators details when you download it, rather than your details)
Many people ask what is the benefit of using canva pro then and simply the benefits are in the additional features which makes designing much faster. Canva pro also provides better high resolution file options than the free version.
