Etsy Store - Temporary Suspensions (normally during store setup/brand new stores)

When setting up your store on Etsy it is often suspended by bots that have found something in your store that they deem as untrustworthy, now this can be something as simple and silly as your bank account not matching your Etsy account name or even that you have a previous Etsy store with a balance owing. However, often we don't know the cause and never will.

What to do if this happens to you?

• Take a breath you have done nothing wrong.

• Check for any old accounts you have opened in the past - sometimes there is a small and unknown balance on these which can trigger the error. Make sure any old accounts are not in arrears.

• Make sure you receive confirmation from Etsy of your support request has been received.

Then what happens?

• Normally it takes a few days, but sometimes up to 14 days to get this rectified. (Once you appeal, a human will look at your account)

• In the meantime, while you are waiting - please keep creating products so once the suspension is lifted you are ready to start listing products.
